I just read this and it blew my mind:

no. once I got several thousand followers I would fret over how many retweets and stars my tweets were getting and couldn't just post without thinking about that. I would purposefully post hacky material just to get stars and RT. It's a popularity contest. That I lost.

It did get me laid a few times though.

I actually want to go to Athens more than the greek islands. there are beaches here. as someone said, as long as we have an awesome hotel room who cares
