Hehe, I remember the day the Jungle packs came out. Rumors flew up and down my street, which at the time had a lot of kids from school on it (now it has none), about if anyone had the cards in stock and if anyone had got any. Then the rumor that someone had, and that he had an eevee came out. I remember specifically people were like 'hey Roo, xxxxx has got an eevee', nobody even mentioned the other cards, it was all about what I was gonna do to get that eevee

everyone used to run a **** haymaker or wigglytuff. game was extremely broken. then that evolved to the sneasel/rockets zapdos and about then is when i stopped playing.

My first experience of a pokemon game, aside from playing at friends' houses, was Silver on an emulator (this was before it was actually released in Europe). It was great, although it was too easy to wipe over your save file. Then shortly after that I finally persuaded my mum to get me a GBC+Blue for christmas. I remember I wouldn't even open my other presents, I just kept playing Blue.

emulators are awesome since you can cheat-save and speed it up like 20x

i dont know how i ever caught tauros on the red cartrige but it was probably my best catch.

scyther/hitmonchan/electabuzz, swap out chan for promo mewtwo for variety

what really broke the game was rocket sneak attack and then rockets trap. every deck having 40 trainers isnt how the game was intended to be played imo, bad design

I started rewatching the anime from the start of Johto Journeys since only my dad had cable and so I never got to see anything after his gym battle with Faulkner.

dont fight any more trainers (unless you are in a building and have to) and when i get home i will show you how to catch all kinds of previously uncatchables (even the 4 you have to trade to evolve, or if you want farfetched/mr mime without the stupid nicknames) so you can be a real POKEMON MASTER
