Yeah she is just a recreational player.

I think I'm better known to you as $1.50

I humbly request the wisdom of the one we know as Mark K. I am in search of a HE washer dryer combo for the new house without being totally ripped off. What say you oh great one?

lol

I'm not really an expert on appliances but I would probably look in these areas: Reddit for brand advice, Slickdeals for bargains and Costco for price and awesome return policy.

And before you buy a front loader, make sure you/your wife are willing to live with the disadvantages.

The last appliance I bought was a Bosch dishwasher from Sears 12 years ago. A choice I have mixed feelings over.

Oh and look into installing them yourself. My city requires a permit and inspection for this kind of stuff which all comes with fees. With a self-install, the city has no idea.

Oops. I just remembered that I bought a hot water heater last fall. Lowes had the best deal for that by a mile. Especially with the installation labor costs.

In Tokyo, where the houses weren't well insulated, I used to take my olive oil into the shower in winter to warm it up, because it used to get all lumpy.

i've heard that you should keep your olive oil in the refrigerator or it will get rancid

This is a fun video:

I wonder how much of it is true?

eb, kokiri, someone else that might know lmk

No idea if any of it is true. My knowledge of Japanese history is almost zero.

Cool video though, as is the history of the entire world one by the same guy.
02-27-2019 , 06:59 PM
yeah I watched that one too, but I thought I'd be pushing my luck if I posted a 20 minute video on here and expected people to watch it.

Now that's damn convenient. Congratulations on the purchase!

When I do home projects I make sure that there is a Home Depot open at the time...

Somehow I doubt that. You're like one of those hoarder people, but for knowledge instead of knick-knacks.

Mongol hoarders were GOAT at it, I bet!
