rape wimminz to procreate, murder other potential male mates to increase your chances of easy procreatin'.

Surely, at some point, rape and murder were a part of our evolutionary process. There had to be some clubbin' and lubbin' back through our family trees.

Science is put to all sorts of uses. Whether it ought to be is a good question.
I don't think he's referencing the post you think he is.

Relatively few animals murder each other to increase access to mates. There are quite good reasons not to, particularly in animals that likely lived in family groups.

Ah right. Well, it's something I'm sure you do agree with because I think we have much the same idea of science and its place.

Actually I don't know, but I'll accept a spot on his top list for whatever post he's referencing.

Human males are still pretty rapey now, I expect they were even rape-ier in the past. I shouldn't say as much because I haven't researched it or thought about it in depth. I just kinda accept it as ~fact.

Well, quite. But a look at other cultures or even at the social organisation of other apes might change your view some.

remember, I'm not trying to claim all human male ancestors were rapin', just that it's part of our ancestry. I'd really love to be pointed to some reading material on the subject.

yah, I'd bear in mind with chimpanzees for instance that questions of consent are quite tricky in animals that have an estrus.

Take this **** to the evolutionary biology thread.

I heard dolphins are big rapists, maybe that's why killer whales kill them sometimes.

seems the dolphin rape may be mostly a meme, at a glance what happens after a group of males corner a female is uncertain...

Sometimes the Dolphins get raped themselves!

sorry Mets, next year for sure.

Kyle Orton aka Drunken Neckbeard isn't doing so bad. It's still close!

Yeah, they're definitely doing better than I expected, yet still pretty typical Cowboys, doing just enough to keep hope alive.
