You don't detour to Niagara Falls from DC enroute to NYC. It's like a day's (6-10 hr) drive each way. What's your EC plan look like?

Btw, Niagara falls is awesome but I've only been during summer. See it on the Canadian side and take a ride up to Niagara-on-the-lake for wine-tasting. If you do go up there, might as well throw Toronto into the mix. Again Idk what your timeline or budget is, but doing Niagara to toronto to Montreal to Bar Harbor to Portland to Boston might be a fun loop.

+1. I've smoked MAYBE an entire pack lifetime, and every single one has been while drunk. Especially in college, I'd be out at the bar and everyone would be smoking so I'd want some too, then the next day it would feel like a truck ran over my chest.

As others have already said, this probably isn't an optimal way to spend vacation days. First, the odds that it will be cold, wet and grey are high - March in Niagara Falls is still firmly in the grasp of winter most of the time. Second, that region is pretty meh from a tourist standpoint, unless you enjoy driving across scenic farm country. Also Buffalo is the armpit of NY. Finally, that is going incredibly out of your way if your route is DC to NYC. NY is like the fourth largest state and Niagara Falls and NYC are on opposite ends of the state.

I live near DC, we should do a meet up when you come over of the DC area poggers.
