one of my best friends is 6'5. his wife is 5'3. i have seen a lot of tall girls give her dirty looks for taking a tall man out of the dating pool when she could have dated plenty of men shorter than him

Because my parents don't really give a **** as long as their kids are happy?

Also because my sister was a grown woman living on her own and they had no right or authority to forbid her to do anything.

They were a little weirded out/concerned but Eric's a great guy, and they've been together over 11 years now so everyone gets along fine.

Nah, he's got grown children from a previous marriage but my sister never really wanted them and Eric obviously didn't want to be an ancient dad so it worked out.

Even with a healthy dose of hyperbole assumed, "perverts" is rather an extreme position.

My impression is that most women's views on this are much more forgiving, though of course given that I'm averagish height the issue doesn't come up very often, so I may be wrong.
