also: is sara supposed to be depressing? i dont find it particularly happy, but i always liked that song and don't lock it into "omgkillmyself" depressing. it's sweet.

well, he wrote it after sara had already left him so when he sings don't ever leave me don't ever go, and she's already gone, its way sad imo.

A couple days ago, when I was in thailand, I was at one of their buddhist temples. There were tons of tourists there taking pictures and stuff. I took a picture of some monks praying and immediately some lady came over all upset and tried to grab my camera and told me I wasn't allowed to take pictures of monks. She kept yelling for me to delete and make a big scene and tried to take my camera until I finally showed her that I deleted it. I kept apologizing and saying I didn't know even when she said "in a muslim country you would have been beheaded by now."

Ironic, huh?

omg, "please, please, please, let me get what i want" wins the smiths depressing imo. the brevity of the song alone makes me want to kill myself *yet still one of my favorites
