But David Gale cheapened and simplified an important and complicated issue. Having one person basically rig a case to prove the system is flawed is just silly. Most death penalty advocates readily admit that an occasional wrongful execution is part of the deal. And the way the movie held back the "twist" for narrative purposes was shameful. And poor Laura Linney acted her heart out in a scene that was disgusting and exploitative (if you've seen the movie, you'll know which one I mean). Just see Dead Man Walking for how to do it right.

LOL, that movie is still pissing me off 7 years later. I love some other Alan Parker movies though, especially The Commitments.
I agree with this. And I definitely will check out Dead Man Walking.

I'm interested in which of Too dirty/not dirty enough was on the list; also, I'm assuming #17 Shut up about films already is pretty much a banker.

Although yes, given Legend gives us the list it is probably going to feature, Insatiable sexual stamina tires me out, constantly giving to charity, too pretty, i can't deal with the fact that all my friends want him too, etc.

This just in: not having a functional laptop is, in fact, the pits.

Gaslight Anthem has a new CD out on the 14th. For anyone who cares, there is a link on this page after the first paragraph.

A McDonald's that delivers? and at 7 am? I can't even get the surly teenagers at my McDonald's to give me food at the drive-thru.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I don't know why, but I find that expression hilarious. I just imagine an old guy shaking his cane and yelling that at some unsuspecting kids.

Listen, I only used that cane for 6 months, right after I broke my hip.
