Kerbal Space Program update:
I took my Duna rover from the Duna Polar highlands down a valley that's in perpetual shadow. I needed to across it to get in the sunlight to charge my rover's solar cells. It took a few tries (err "simulations") to successfully make the traverse.
I started at the 10.5km mark in the picture. The area off the picture to the right is mostly in the sunlight. Notice how low in the sky the sun is at the pole.
