Early favorite for costume of the night: Darth Cersei. Second place: pre-pious Margaery (plungiest necklines in television history). Questionable honor of the night: Brienne of Tarth lapdance.

No idea what to expect. Hope it's fun.

What you really need is a GoT drag show. That **** would be off the chain.

I'm sure if I had the ability to commit to a TV series, I'd love GoT, but I've never really been able to do it. I like my TV to be single serving. Each episode independent from the others. Following a series seems like, I dunno, work. I want watching TV to be the opposite of work.

GoT is very mediocre plus tits.

How much deltaV can you get from your RCS thrusters?

How the hell am I supposed to know?

I discovered yesterday that I'd totally misunderstood a principle of rocket design - my rockets kept flipping over, and one of my responses was to put fins at the top, which turns out to be the nut wrong thing to do. Discovering that has made a huge difference to what I can get off the launch pad.

But how do you control your launch so that your angle to mun orbit isn't too high? Atm I'm relying on luck, but changing the orbital plane seems to eat huge amounts of fuel.

skip to the 50 second mark and watch that stunt. i was laughing so hard i had tears in my eyes

Of course, real men don't rely on a computer to fire rockets

I've deorbited and achieved reentry only using RCS...

Fins, vector-able thrust (liquid vs solid rockets), symmetric design and SAS/having a pilot all help to make stable rockets.

Just stay in the orbital plane. Launch east from Kerbil and plan your trip with maneuver nodes. (right clicking on the orbit line) Also it is easier to change headings when you are moving slow than when moving fast. e.g. near Mun and not near Kerbil.

I've dick all idea of how to launch to the east. I think it might be that my ships are too tall, but i've very little ability to not just go 'what ever way the rocket sends me' when i fire up the first 10k m

Take it to the kerbal space program thread hoss

Head towards the 90 degrees mark on the nav-ball (by pressing 'd')

For your first stage, don't use all solid rockets. Use a liquid fuel rocket in the center for steering. I just set it's thrust to 1/4 or so. When the solid rockets are done, I jettison the boosters and increase it's thrust to 100%.

Add bigger fins to the bottom.

Have you given Kerbal a try? Seems like a good game for you.

How's 'No Man Sky' going?

Another friend of mine just texted me that he just bought Kerbal Space Program during today's 50% off sale.

We may soon have a fleet of rockets!

See if you can arrange for one of your kerbal rockets to deliver me a pizza, willya?
