This virus does do better when there's no sunlight, actually. UV radiation destroys it.

Coincidentally I just saw a clip of Reagan saying he'd rather his daughters die than stop believing in God.

Well, for one, men can’t seem to control their dicks, and it makes them worse at government. How many sex scandals do I have to list here to make this point, btw? Paying women for their silence like Trump, getting blowies in the oval like Clinton, sexting teenagers like Weiner, inappropriate relationships with staffers like Gingrich, impregnating 16yos like Thurmond, cheating on your dying spouse and lying about it like Edwards, running on a pro-life platform while forcing your wife AND mistress to have abortions like DesJarlais, making unwanted sexual advances toward a fundraisers daughter like Wu, using taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment suits (several), covering up the sexual abuse of minors like Jordan, general pedophilia like Moore, and a LONG list of rapists- Jefferson, Cleveland, Trump among others, and unmitigated philandering and love-children fathered via affairs, which of course they always deny. And let’s not forget Condit, who murdered his 23 yo intern he was having an affair with.

Besides all the sexual harassment claims, there’s the ridiculous dick-measuring and macho man displays that put our country at risk.

Why are we trusting the judgment of men who can’t be trusted to not take their dicks out on work zoom calls. Men need to get their **** together and try again after a long break. You’re bad at being good people, and shouldn’t be trusted with leadership/mentor positions.

If you look at a list of federal political sex scandals in the United States, they are ALL men.

Seems very likely in a post-vaccine world many businesses will require vaccinations or tests in order to enter.

Ticketmaster has already stated they plan to require vaccines or negative tests (confirmed through a health release to a third party) which will approve you to Ticketmaster. Once they receive your vaccine or negative test, you gain credentials to the event.

I'm somewhat torn. I hate this in theory because of privacy reasons, but it will allow people to safely congregate next year. I want to go to concerts and things like that again so badly. I'd participate and consider this a cost to restart a mostly normal society. The world won't be fixed with so many people talking about not taking the vaccine.

I'm strongly against governmental mandates, but think it's fine that businesses opt to go for this model. I'm definitely fine with businesses requiring masks, so this seems like the logical next step.

ironically, we've come to a point where it is only government that has the capacity to restore privacy, whereas previously it was against the government that privacy was generally concerned

Privacy was short hand for lack of trust, autonomy, and government having that authority.

Vaccines are the single most amazing discovery we’ve ever had. I want everyone to get vaccinated. Just don’t think the government should do it.

You saw how people reacted to being asked to wear masks.

Good lord, imagine how it will go if you require them to get injections.

i'm ok with a ban on men in leadership. but there are plenty of women who've done terrible, nightmarish jobs in leadership, just without the added sexual abuse(that we know of). it's very difficult for abused women to come forward. it's also very difficult for abused men to come forward, possibly even more so. maybe not. but it's hard.

thatcher, pelosi, feinstein, kamala harris, clinton... obv the list of horrible women leaders isn't nearly as bad or as long as horrible men

This might be inconsistent of me, but I think that's a good thing.

I think society punishing people who don't vaccinate by limiting their access to societal things = good
Government doing it directly by mandate = bad

I'm not sure I'm right here, so am happy for anyone to change either viewpoint.

What I especially like about that one, vmf, is that it demonstrates how normal people create a safe space to enable conspiracy theorists to feel superior.

It's a valid observation to make that at one point in time conspiracy theorists were considered crazies who needed to wear tinfoil hats to leave the house-- and now one is considered crazy for not doing those things.

No, it isn't. At least any rendering that might make it valid results in a dishonest observation.
