I think that the antimask posts should be removed. Not a very democratic thing to do, but these messages are actually dangerous right now.

You are joking now, but your last post might have been serious. You basically said that unmasked people with COVID can’t give it to masked healthy people. If it was a joke, it wasn’t funny. No one is laughing (maybe the deplorables, but they don’t count). The friends and relatives of people that died from COVID arr especially not laughing.

If I had to go with a conspiracy theory I'd kinda go the opposite, masks help some degree but are sorta security theater pushed on people to some degree to make them feel safe enough to do normal crap /open the economy /go to school /etc.

This isn't exactly a news source for the general public and the odds of anyone reading the thread being convinced by anything VMF (for example) posts have to be about zero.

In most cases the cure for bad speech is good speech and this is no exception, people posting contrary, accurate information would be better than discussion of the subject dying off.

It might be just me, but I don’t think “about zero” is good enough. Like viruses, disinfo has a way of spreading.

The disinformation trolls (VMF, Luckbox and sometimes mets) have had their **** refuted numerous times by various ppl. They sometimes try to argue, their arguments are defeated and then they pretend it didn’t happen and post a new batch of disinfo.

Also, most people have better things to do than spend time debunking trolls. When someone does that, awesome. More power to them. But we can’t (and shouldn’t) expect them to do it at all times.
