Half of this is correct.

Like a real conspiracy that has since been proven is that Assad and the Syrian government were framed for using sarin gas in Douma. One that is absurd is that the moon landings were faked. The CIA and other propaganda OPs work pretty hard to associate these two things together to make the real one seem absurd purely by its association with one that is not only fake, but is hilariously fake.

Dustin functions almost perfectly like an OP. He will talk about actual real conspiracies and make total sense, but then he, the same person, will talk about **** like "wearing masks is a conspiracy" or some **** and it makes the actual real stuff he talked about seem absurd purely because he talks about and believes in both.

Undermine the credulity of real conspiracies by acting like every stupid thing under the sun is a conspiracy so they all seem silly to believe.

There is an element of conspiracy to the mask stuff in the sense that it is being deliberately pushed by the ruling class.
It's a way to both sow division and also I think about getting people in line and/or more obscure psychological factors.

And I am saying that even though you are right about some of the conspiracies you believe in, since you have no actual rigorous framework behind your worldview, you believe that literally everything is a conspiracy. Half the time I ask you the motivation and you can't even explain what it is.

See its reasonable to say that the issue of wearing masks is being politicized into a wedge issue. Totally makes sense.

The idea that wearing masks to prevent the spread of the disease was invented for that purpose is bogus.

Same goes for global warming.

Global warming is real and is happening.

I think you missed my point. You are just one person on an internet forum. What you say and think is totally unimportant. I am pointing out that you operate on this forum the same way a CIA op operates in real life. Not that you are one or whatever, just that your actions parallel those of the CIA propaganda machine which places real conspiracy adjacent to totally ridiculous ones to undermine the credibility of the real ones.

That effect happens with the stuff you say because somewhere along the way you substituted "doubting what most other people believe/doubting the common narrative" with "correctness/intelligence/critical thinking".

Some are prosaic, some not. Some have elements of truth, some don't. Some are literally created by the ruling class, then pushed to discredit conspiracy people like with alien/UFO stuff. There is a lot of variety. Even within some conspiracy events themselves, they use red-herrings as a means of discrediting people who believe in them.
