I've never had a flu shot in my life and definitely don't plan on ever getting one, and am thankful to be in a country where I don't need to worry about it-- at least not until wintertime hits

I think you're best off just making sure you get lots of sunlight. Thats why flu season hits in the wintertime-- because lack of sunlight means less vitamin D, which helps to fight against the flu, and there is lots of research in support of that, which interestingly enough, one won't hear about from mainstream sources.

Excellent observation...

This is completely anecdotal but earlier this year, my doctor found that my vitamin D level was low. Normal range is 30 to 60. Mine was 27. Mainly because whenever I'm outside for awhile I wear sunscreen and a hat.

I've started taking a vitamin D supplement (2000 au) and since then I have never had a sore throat. (I have had runny noses)

for the most part.

I can see private hospitals ordering their employees to get the flu shot, or government health workers having to do it as part of their work condition. Forcing masses of unaffiliated people to recieve the vaccine is wrong and unjustifiable though.

I had the flu about 10 years ago. I thought I was going to die. My fever was 104+ for 4 days. I could not lie down the entire time because when I did, I couldn't breath. It is not an exaggeration that I thought I was going to die. I was about to dial 911 on the 4th day.

I get a flu shot every year now. I'm pretty sure that if anyone went through what I did, they would be getting flu shots the rest of their lives.

Im an unpayed intern at a teaching ('academic') hospital and I havent decided my position on the vaccin yet. They were pushing it pretty hard on the news the other night...makes me want to not take it. Havent heard anything from the hospital yet.

I'm not getting the vaccine, it's available here. Also there's two different versions, one for soldiers and one for the rest so yeah I'm just a tad bit sceptical.

When my daughter grows up, I would be so proud if she was a "cheerleading ambassador".

And I am probably not getting the shot/mist either, but I would be surprised if you could design any kind of medicine for millions of people and not have some (hopefully) miniscule percentage react badly to it.

4 million flu shots given. 5 old people die within 2 days of recieving the vaccine != they died because of the shot

so 4 million jabs kill 5 people from weird ailments not related to jabs in any way, but they might save a few hundred who otherwise would have died from the flu.

How is that a bad thing?

After reading that article... (The article, not just the headline) I seriously shake my head over anyone believing that the flu shot caused those deaths...
