mebbe i'd get pissed off if it was my country he was banging on about, but i find him hilarious. The idea that people actually take seriously anything he says is baffling.

I agree 100%.

It's downright scary how sheepish most people are - it's as if people leave their better judgement at the door when they hear a public figure speak, whether its Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Al Franken, or whoever. People take too much of what they hear/read from (mostly) fringe media groups and personalities at face value.

Critical thinking ftl, unfortunately.

the more stuff i've read the more i've come to realize that having an original thought is actually much tougher than I anticipated. So instead i've decided to focus on perfecting the use of monty python quotations.

I do however think that we are rapidly moving towards what could be described as an surveillance society/world

I also think that terrorism is one of the tools being used to bring this about and I think the whole thing is intentional
