Snopes articles are always a mire.

Most of the time they pick strawman arguments that aren't even actually made then debunk those.

I didn't want to deal with it I won't lie. I barely even looked at it. I wanted to get an in depth understanding of all the issues and find what I felt to be the strongest arguments. (Before setting off to debunk strawmen)

The first two sentences here directly contradict the third. If you're not even reading the arguments how do you know they're not strong?

Because I have seen enough of the other sandy hook evidence to convince me that we are being lied to.

There is a preponderance of evidence there. Enough that people have made numerous hours long videos on the subject.

*also because I have dealt with snopes before.

I enjoyed Monkey honestly because monkey has things he can teach me. I wish he came back because who can talk about markets and economies here?

So I have my reasons. We don't always discuss polarizing and inflammatory conspiracies but I'm not going to shy away from it either.

There’s no coherent conspiracy theory to disagree with - they’re always a mishmash of internally inconsistent points that don’t agree with themselves, let alone cope with counter evidence. But this makes it easy to cope with challenge because they’re so hydra headed and nonsensical. They cope by denial, by the fact that they can always point to some element of the smorgasbord of explanations that cohere (ignoring the rest that doesn’t).

Now that it's clear that Bloo still wants that Sandy Hook discussion, how about you agree not to bring up, suggest, or otherwise post about any other conspiracy theories, including those related to current events, until you've hashed out that one to the point that Bloo feels the conversation is finished.

Would everyone consider that fair?
