Locals here eat a regional delicacy known as barbecue, made from the rib bones of pigs
Not too bad although this is where the author shows he doesn't know stl. The actual St. Louis tradition is "pork butts"... Which are actually from their shoulders.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pork_steak

If you want ribs then Kansas city (or Memphis) is the place to go.

(Also they deep fry their ravoli and lifelong st. Louisans are usually shocked to find out that this exists nowhere else)

Is the statistic you are talking about the % of the vote he got? How do you feel that supports your assertion?

In 1995, Saddam Hussein won 99.96% (wiki) of the popular vote in the Iraqi presidential referendum!

Couple interesting SCOTUS cases recently. One was about which precedent you set when there is a majority but they have differing opinions. I assumed you'd go with whoever agrees the most but apparently you go with the standard they all agree on and crop the rest. Feel like you could angleshot by just voting with the majority then making some sort of nonsensical standard.
what would you like to know?

Do you like the idea? Are you against it because it's not working very well? Is it actually a sham? Would you recommend it for other sovereign Nations?

Ianaww, do you think the Democratic primary was rigged against Bernie?

Wowwww Donnie bombing Syria because he's afraid the pee tape is going to be released

it's probably just because it's the only time he gets lauded or they told him to on fox news

Just FYI I created a thread for the purpose of posting flora and fauna photos a couple years back--which i never expected to be a roaring success like this here political thread. But you'll note that I usually ask what species of fish you've posted--the idea was to make that a game--although in this case I do hope that's a hammerhead.

A more paranoid person might not see this as a coincidence

It's hard to think otherwise after watching what happened at the Nevada convention.

So I don't follow this at all from any sort of perspective--mainstream, conspiratorial, Marxist or whatever.

What?
04-14-2018 , 09:27 PM
You're way over thinking it. It was literally Timothy mcvay reason for the bombing.
04-14-2018 , 09:38 PM
But even the conspiracy theorist doesn't think that Timothy McVeigh was a Russian agent.

Well, with the prefatory note that I am not a supporter of democracy borne in mind, I can make some observations that might inform you.

Mandatory voting is good for democracy. Why? It helps reinforce the notion that everyone has their say and it adds legitimacy to the claims of those in power. So, if you are a fan of democracy, then mandatory voting is good for it.
e.g. Informal votes (votes that do not count) is often a measure of voter apathy in mandatory voting constituencies. In Australia, that stands at 15%. Now that 15% stands in contrast with say 40% non voters in the US. I would argue that voter discontent in the two nations are a lot similar in both but the notion that people are unrepresented or underrepresented is harder to make in Australia than in the US.

Why do I not support it? Well I do not support democracy not specifically mandatory voting. I do not support democracy because it gives a false sense of how power actually operates and who holds it.

Would I suggest it for other nations? If you like the status quo, yes I would recommend it. It increases the stability and perceived legitimacy of the political process.

I read they only found his charred remains. I can't even get my grill's charcoal to light half the time.

Also, they obviously didn't find a suicide note on him...
