Yeah he said that if the allegations turned out to be true it would be a "tough question" whether Kav should get confirmed.

LB was also spouting some rape apologetics itt.

He doesn’t have time to worry about kavanaugh, Dianne Feinstein has outstanding parking fines and you scumbags on the left are too weaselling to admit it. Oh the hypocrisy.

sorry to talk about other stuff today crossnerd, but i just heard noam chomsky say that democrats voted to authorize an invasion of the netherlands?!?!?!?! lol!!!! wtf?!?!

if the international criminal court ever tries to prosecute any american for war crimes, then feinstein and all them voted for jesse helm's bill to invade the netherlands!

btw feinstein lived two houses down from my friend in high school. that house is currently worth ~20 million. she still owns it, but several years ago she bought a second home in SF because her ~20 million dollar one just wasn't enough. the second home is worth about twice as much.

i'd show you them on google earth, but i don't want the feds to come after me.

the first one is in presidio terrace, a ridiculously rich gated community in SF. the second one is in pacific heights(specific whites) right on the edge of the presidio. when she bought it, it was a little less than the record for the most money ever paid for a home in SF

It is disappointing to me that Lindsey Graham who has at times behaved less odiously tha other Republican Senators appears to be all in on the “If you take Kavanaugh down I will take all you mother****ers down with him” position

im really disappointed in lindsey graham as well. i was counting on him

Was able to listen for 15-20 minutes on my lunch break. Give Professor Ford the Goddamn Medal of Freedom for this.

Imagine a person who doesn't watch a particular police brutality video but says "hey I heard the officer was scared for his life, and why didn't the guy just comply, and if he didn't have saggy pants none of this would have happened."

because that's you today.

Either the rapist gets the job or he doesn't. It's pure power versus facts. Are women equal humans or are they toys. Today is only about women.

The republicans have a better qualified woman lined up for the job if he falls. They will confirm her before any hypothetical loss in the senate takes effect. The political stakes are quite low. It's the gender equality stakes which are sky high.

The powers that be really, really don't want to lose the right to abuse women with no consequences.

just catching up now, watching on CSPAN

@ ~23 minutes, Grassley (after a 20 minute rant) interrupts Feinstein, Feinstein looks up and makes a face somewhere between "really?" and "yup", the camera cuts to Grassley literally (literally literally) looking down his nose at Feinstein, and then it cuts back to two women behind Feinstein visibly murdering Grassley with their eyes

He has always been one of the worst. His attacks on DT were for personal gain, just like every single thing he has ever done in his miserable life. **** that guy to the moon. Listen to that talk he just gave. He's straight evil incarnate.

Like a week ago Lindsey Graham specifically said that he is voting to confirm Kav no matter what Ford said in her testimony.

I am totally going off memory here, but I believe the US made this a formal policy in like 2003 where the military is obligated to invade the Netherlands and spring Americans from the Hague who are imprisoned there for committing war crimes. This was made the official policy because Bush, Cheney, et al had already and planned to continue committing war crimes in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.

Ok fine, you are both accusing me of victim blaming so why don't you show me where I came even remotely close to doing that at any point.

Birdman, serious question:

Does it matter if Kavanaugh gets confirmed or not?

birdman is not that guy at all. wtf... birdman says rapist nominee should be in prison, and that dr ford deserves praise, respect, and sympathy.

Though, if I am being honest I did not find Garland a particularly inspiring pick. And that was when it was a Democrat appointing. If Trump has to appoint someone else I imagine it is going to be someone approximately as evil as Kav.

I don't follow the specifics of like how many seats the Dems need to make up in the midterms to actually be able to fully stop any Trump nom from getting through, but I would love it if the Dems just introduced a new doctrine where they would unequivocally refuse to let any nominee who wasn't fully pro-choice every make it through no matter what. Even if they have to filibuster or whatever else.

I don't think they would ever do that, though. Because "politics" or whatever.

Garland was a compromise pick that Obama stupidly made thinking that the GOP would operate in good faith.

Yeah but it may be something they had to like, re-affirm legislatively or something. So it may actually be news
