am I the only person who knows that if there are two turn lanes turning onto a street that has more than two lanes, then the left-most turn lane turns into the left-most lane and the right-most turn lane turns into the right-most lane in the absence of any markings to the contrary? that's been pissing me off for a while now and today I nearly hit some idiot who not only was unable to turn into the correct lane, but he was barely able to stay within the wrong lane. Does it not occur to these people that if you could just pick whether or not you want to take the center lane, then you could collide with some idiot next to you who also wants the center lane?

the problem was aggravated by the fact that the idiots who built the roads around here managed to **** up nearly every intersection on Stephanie and it's already pretty hard for me to take a left turn into the left lane there because the median sticks out too far. I have to choose between either going straight a little bit before starting to turn (worst option because the people next to me want to turn and they aren't expecting me to drive straight) or cutting slightly into the center lane at the end of my turn (which risks hitting the idiots who take the center lane) or go as slow as a mother****er so that I can take a really sharp turn to get around the median without invading the center lane at all.

In cases where two or more lanes turn left, the entire turn should be clearly marked for both lanes so there's no confusion.

I'm more and more convinced road engineers are idiots of the highest degree.

after further research I see that the placement of the median is actually acceptable however the line for cars to stop is at least 10 feet beyond the end of the median

drawing lines in the correct place on that road seems to be an epic challenge for them

I may have mentioned this before, but at one of the intersections near me, if you are directly in between the lane markings at one end of the intersection, you will be directly on top of them at the other end of the intersection
