Those, and whatever they used to call the double-layer soft taco with melted cheese in between.

One thing that cracks me up about Taco Bell is that I can feed my family of four for about $10.

That's cheaper than In-N-Out.

Oh, and if you put enough Fire sauce on your Tace Bell food, it all tastes wonderfully the same.

That varies by region — they're popping up, and disappearing again shortly thereafter, all through the year depending on where they are. McDonald's says it's because sales drop after a few weeks — gee, wonder why that might be.

McRib sandwiches will be sold again in McDonald’s locations across the country starting Nov 2, 2010. “We’re stocking up on Napkins! The Legendary McRib is coming back Nov. 2,” the company said via its Twitter account.[6]

Something interesting from my textbook today:

average price someone would pay to decrease their chances of dying by 1/1000: $200
average price the same person would take to increase their chances of dying by 1/1000: $50,000

On this one online forum I'm on, there's this game we play called werewolf. You may know it as Mafia. In that game we vote for who we think the bad guys are. and at the end of each game day, the person with the most votes is eliminated.

We register our votes by bolding. So by bolding Community Thread, I was implying that the Community Thread is a bad guy, a wolf or mafia member, whichever you prefer.

I find all TB stuff tastes the same, even without the sauce. Of course, when you make everything out of the same 6 ingredients, its kinda hard not to.

Not to say I dont enjoy TB every now and again, and I have certainly have had worse mexican fast food. Del Taco, I'm looking at you.

I'd like to see how units of "chances of dying" can possibly be sold without other stuff attached to it. My guess would be that people probably value that other stuff

Maybe they're asking people who don't have much money. They should use an increment of 1/100,000.

ya idk too much about how they came up with the numbers. The main point was that people tend to sell things they own for way more than what they would pay for the same item if they needed it. I guess that's a pretty lol example to illustrate that point since the "item" is DEATH. But this book isn't very well-written in some places (and my professor is the author, lolz).

I did have a friend who was considering doing service in Iraq a few years ago. It paid like $100k but the chances of dying were significant.

Still I doubt people need an isolated "increase in dying" in most cases (i.e. they are not terminally ill or suicidal).

I hope your professor is not an econ prof

You understand that the item in question is a chance to live, not to die, right? They have a certain amount of that and can sell a bit, or they can buy more.

I misread the post as people paying in both cases lol (which is why it seemed really absurd)

Funny that you say that because it is not econ, but risk management, but it dabbles in some econ terms in the same chapter that are either defined confusingly, or in one case was just wrong. idk what I'm supposed to do if asked about it on the exam.

OK ya "need" doesn't really apply to this situation. I still find it interesting, although I think maybe people just don't wanna think about their own death too much so they make it really high.
