@ VR

Great episode of Chuck last night (one of my favorites actually). I still wish they would tone down the cheesiness of the Buy-more employee scenes, everything else is done so well it feels like it just drags down the whole show.

Canada > USA in hockey so your ranking seems way off

1 - 1 in Olympics and they needed OT so I wouldn't say they are definitely better.

and we had more medals.

I went to Pilates class today. It was stupid.

I went because I thought it would be about stretching and I'm pretty amazingly inflexible. Unfortunately it was focused on core work. But in 45 minutes I got less of a workout in my core than in the first 5 minutes of my standard workout.

And there were no hot chicks.

Yoga is for stretching, Pilates is for...core work.

In other news, I am sore today, fullll body sore, and it feels great. My hamstrings, core, shoulders, all are suffering a bit.

I plan on attempting another workout today, not sure what to do though.

Last night for dinner, I made a chicago style pizza based on the recipe in the EDF thread about it (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/79...primer-430424/). I went the lazy route and bought pizza dough instead of making it, which actually turned out to be a pretty big mistake - it got BIG. Other than that, though, it was fantastically good.

I've always made the dough, and it still gets big. Please tell me you did sausage and pepperoni.

I am currently doing a crossfit based workout at home/at the trim trail down the road. You need to be a bit inventive at times but I'm enjoying it a lot more than the starting strength program I did before. I am mostly using it to avoid building up imbalances from rock climbing. It is amazing how many rock climbers ignore the imbalances they build up in their muscles and tendons because of the slight increase in body mass. Then they get surprised at all the injuries they get.

This is true. If you have any history of joint pain, I would recommend sticking to the grass. If you want to see how tiring running can really be, try running on sand. Racing on sand dunes was one of the most tiring things I have ever done.

16kg does seem to be the starting point. The nice thing is that you can use it one or two handed depending on your strength level, and what you are doing.

FYI, did my second workout today, got through 2 full tabata cycles, and basically collapsed after. I had trouble walking up the stairs to take a shower. I may be in love with my KB.

I may start to get back into yoga myself, but I could never do it at a studio/gym, home DVD FTW.
