here is my analysis:

The Zurvanites only need 7 votes now for majority control, not 8. They have 6 if we include Eskimo, and Spook could easily join them.

There is pretty much no chance that any sort of anti-Zurvan faction gets going, so Zurvanites are going to get elected mayor everyday, and everyday a non-Zurvanite is going to get killed, until there are no non-Zurvanites left. This is inevitable.

let me re-announce my candidacy. a vote for aj is a vote for choice! remember to include who you want eliminated with your vote (or, you may abstain if you wish). i will eliminate the consensus choice.

Dustin, we basically need to convince the weak zurvanists that joining that alliance is not their best bet.
Also I just realised that Zurvan argument of loyalty is awful( as opposed to just useless or rhethorical like most of the others), if you are a centrist its better to join the backstabbers than an alliance when everyone is nice. If you join the backstabbers u have a shot of winning because dustin may attack me, i may attack kokiri,etc. However if you join mets and zurvan you are not going to be able to turn any of them into each other which will result in you being 6th or something.

Everybody, im intrested on youre thought in my game theory aproach( or the "oh noes sleazy spike vote!" aproach if u prefer)of punishing with 3 votes on the hypothetical final against the last person to seal the deal for the zurvanists.

how the idea came about that Zurvan's group is the trustworthy group and that we are going to be backstabbing each other, I have no idea.

I do agree that its a myth that everyone in their group is on equal footing. I think Bravos and Eskimo dont have nearly the same chance of making it as far as the other 4- and while Eskimo maybe will shift his vote, I don't see Bravos doing so.

I propose the following spiking vote ranking, whoever is higher on the rank on the final is going to get pwned with 3 votes agaisnt him.

1) Whoever joins 7th
2) Bulletproof donk
3) Zurvan
4) Herbie
5) Bravos
6) Dmk
7) Mets

On theory zurvan should be 7 but we have to put him higher so that he knows his plan isnt going to give him the championship, however it is neccesarry to put him below bulletproof so that bulletproof has basically no chance at winning.

I think we should attack the weakest of the 3 which is herbie that way we give him an option to join the center instead. If herbie votes for AJ we attack DMK instead.

There's a lot of good news here.

They don't have a majority, it's 6-4 with Nich undecided yet.

The first to switch to our side makes it level, and the second to switch gives us the lead.

I'm also very surprised that Zurvan eliminated Luckay. Afterall I thought his faction was open to all and non-judgemental etc. etc. yet he chose to eliminate someonme who had not even posted in the thread, despite at least three posters openly opposing him. I want to know who out of DMK, Mets, Bravos1, the Monk, Herbie knew that they were voting for zurvan in order to allow him to pursue his petty quest on Luckay and alleged FPS, something which has absolutely no bearing on this game whatsoever?

This game is critically balanced right now. anyone who wants to switch from the dark side to our democratic faction, can do so in the knowledge that they stand just as good a chance of winning, if not a better one given the momentum we will generate.

Staying within the faction that you are in now can not be justified on the grounds of the likelihood of winning - that is essentially equal here and now.

Right now i would like to see Zurvan eliminated for the ugly night-kill, but should he choose to join our group (something i think unlikely) i would change this.

I think we leave the nominations on zurvan as a placeholder given he is least likely to switch, with an acknowledgement that I will shoft from anyone who does choose to fight the good fight.

I think Val is proposing that IF he is in the 9 who get to vote on the final 2, then he will vote against people in that order of preference, PROVIDED that they continue to stay within the faction.

This ceases to hold should you leave the faction, whereupon you would certainly be on an equal footing from my perspective, no recriminations, but is a way of making more concrete the realisation that you stand a lower chance of winning in the faction than outside it.

Val, this is a great idea, but it only serves its purpose if it encourages people at the top of the list to switch. therefore the list needs to be:

you can't.

#1 needs to be open to anyone joining the faction from here on as the ultimate sanction.

if you leave, someone else joins and then you rejoin,, then yes, you would be above them. But there would still be a slot for anyone joining after you.
