There was a time, long ago, where Hitch created a POG Championship (points, schedule). 52 events in practically every game one can play on a forum. Points were scored for each event, and the overall winner would win a coloured name and undertitle. Unfortunately, Hitch left and it wasn't really ever finished.

I think it'd be neat to redo this (since most of the people involved in the above one have retired/left).

IF people think this would be fun/cool, then I'd like this thread to be discussing what sort of games would be in the championship and anyone who wants to volunteer to mod events (I believe you get points for modding a game).

I don't think we need to necessarily stick to 52 games.

Werewolf

Personally, IMO, there shouldn't be a lot of werewolf in the championship (both because a lot of ww is run anyway, and because the scheduling would be difficult). In the prior championship, there was a "Turbo Week" and a series of Werewolf Vanilla Games (with minor twists, like maj lynch only, or random night times). Other opinions welcome on this, ldo.

I'd prefer to have as many people mod as possible, so it gives people the chance to play many events.

That being said, I don't think we need a cap on it, but there probably should be a cap of # points earned by being a game mod

I am not planning to play other events and do not care about points. But yeah, if others want to get mod points I am not on their way. I can run pretty much anything I think if there is need for that.

Might as well throw a big brother in there (although it would have to be early otherwise point totals would affect play)

I thought about Big Brother and Survivor but like you, thought that it would affect point totals too much (plus they're fairly hardcore games to mod compared to the other games).

dibs on modding a safari game. I need to try to figure out how to revise the structure to handle varying numbers of signups in a single game though, I don't think the 8-per-jeep and merge structure works very well

Scotland Yard is a game of 1 vs 5 where either the 1 (Mr. X) wins or the 5 and I estimate that Mr. X wins 1/3

Scoring should not be difficult. How many points are you assigning per game, approximately?
