Mod dissenting

i was just offering my opinion so dissent is obv fine. I am pretty ambivalent about what to do really, and have been.

Well....

We should probably decided which party is "more in the wrong" and put that person and their followers to death. I KNOW it may sound a little harsh... but it's pretty easy to circumvent bans and create 2nd accounts, and when that happens, there would obviously be more game integrity breaches. It's the only viable solution at this point,

meh, I like starazz and have/had no knowledge of what happened with Breaking Bad and X-Files before today

It seems pretty clear that star jumped into modding a bit sooner than optimal and made a few mistakes, and is a bit defensive in general about whatever mistakes were made (and it seems pretty clear that mistakes were made)

That said, he generally means well and is trying to do the right thing. I can see why he feels a bit like an outsider here, or feels targeted (POG is a great forum, but is for sure clique-y).

My hope is that star and everyone else involved in these incidents can look back on them with at least a little amusement six months from now.

You insulted my integrity when I modded your Hardcore invitational game. I won't go into detail but you know what you did. Yet you are crying foul about that being used against you

Rather than accepting the culture (this is the internet) you want to lead a revolution just for your own sake and amusement.

Hoya said a while back that it's important to avoid ' binary thinking' I think he called it, whereby you're either a good person or a bad person, and being sanctioned marks you as a bad person. People screw up, and whilst bans and infractions and god knows what else exist to help encourage the game rules to be followed, it doesn't mean you're out of the Helmuth grid if you get sanctioned.* I think it applies itt, and wrt to gad, too it appears.

Well This is the biggest group of nits to ever exist anywhere ever. So I have no idea what happened but I'm not surprised in the slightest this guy is getting drawn and quartered for violating game integrity blah blah blah, that happens here constantly. So to cry homophobia over it IS ridiculous, because it is constant here.

HOWEVER... I am not sure there is a basis for criticizing someone to "alluding to their sexuality all the time" ...because the majority of this forum alludes to its sexuality all the time, we just don't recognize it because its so ... normal to us. I mean, posting semi nude men against threadflow is a criticism? When is that ever WITH threadflow.

IF amplify or someone posted semi-nude guys, wed find it amusing and no one would care

I don't mind gay people at all. They are not the scourge of the earth as some believe. I have some gay friends and they are some of the nicest people I've met. When I'm hanging out with them they don't flaunt their homosexuality nor do I my heterosexuality. But when he talks about his boyfriend and **** that's fine because that's sexual orientation neutral.

I personally have no issue with posting half naked men in threads. I have no real issue with starrazz posting that he's gay all over the place (unless it gets to like mcavoy levels of tmi, but I have that regardless of orientation)

his sexuality has nothing to do with the question at hand
