I always considered "because my role PM said so" a perfectly valid answer to "why are you a villager?" and would never clear anyone for it. Btw I didn't think this Mac post was an angleshot:

I didn't play or read the game but my understanding was that people were calling it an angleshot because he was attempting to get modkilled in order to help his team.

The "peek" post I quoted was his very first of the day. But by the end when it looked like he wasn't going to escape the lynch, he may have been trying for a MK. He was out of bounds one several levels in any case.

state of pog/ww must be pretty sad these days when a grievances thread gets 12k+ posts in around 6 months...

I think I was part of the group who petitioned for Mac to be unbanned way back when, I even told him I could get him unbanned in Skype, heh, sorry about that.
