Also if JP specifically was bussed because they were worried he was going to **** with the NAs and just generally be annoying in wolf chat, then all I can say is:

Spoiler:

Thanks man that means a lot

I didn't see you killing adam coming. That definitely had us scrambling. I think if not for the early night another wolf goes down that day

seconded, thanks mate.

yeah, xander is a real possibility of dying without that. The early day end is nuts for a number of reasons, was well worth the effort expended to get it castable.

also definitely agree on timebombs being replaced by something

there is hopefully a better way of distributing mana in the future

particularly when they (timebombs) are so key to the game

Have still never randed wolf in a mash

And think my mash record is something like 2-10 ballpark

But I wouldn't have it any other way

I mean yeah it's fair to say that the village played poorly in spots, but the overall game state was notbad.jpg for the village until that early night call. Lots of wolves were getting heat and we were coming off lynching one of the most powerful wolves. I think even if the village plays optimally they lose most of the time in this particular setup. I imagine it's difficult to balance this given that wolves can get most any card villagers can, plus wolves have better info and more powerful roles.

I've certainly never modded like that. I always know which player is supposed to send me NAs and I
Or a comod is always in wolfchat anyway. But proxies are a convention. The powers do go with roles. I'd let jp change his action. But of course I would tell
The other wolves

I thought Jonny was absolutely superb and nl had a great game. It's not worth whining about the balance but I'm not sure what route we were meant to take to win. Even if we had lynched only wolves, I think they kill us long before we can kill all of them! And we had basically no information. You need info roles, especially if you're going to reward bussing.

And you know, wolves sharing is cool but we needed a goblin bookie.

Oh and I think that nerfing our information by rewarding wolves for killing wolves above and beyond the normal benefits is a terrible mechanic. I mean, nl in this postgame says we control the lynch. But we don't in this circumstance.

I agree my role was powerful enough without the added incentive to bus imo

I think take that out, add more villa KP or something (or maybe less ways for them to suicide) and the game is more balanced

I'm not a game designer tho so idk. Gabe did a lot of cool stuff this game that made me wish I played the other magic mashes

All I know is when I read my role I was like holy **** I need to try really hard and not let this team down

I think a fair % of the time the person in the role doesn't have the gut to bus as much or maybe wouldn't be as active and can get caught but regardless it's still sort of a 'kill the right wolf' kind of mash which as a villager I have never enjoyed all that much. Maybe a lolmechseer could have helped steer villa into knowing it was that kind of game

anyway gg all again and thanks for the props i had a lot of fun

Sometimes designers just mess up balance and this was one of those times. You were already long odds against pre-rand and drawing almost dead post-rand. We randed a stack of good wolf players (myself not included).

All Gabe games are worth playing. Not always balanced but always crazy detailed with a lot going on. UD a great designer/mod also.

Boner used one, someone else as well right? I know bop had one at one point (we made him discard a card at one point and got to see his hand). I'd say it was an Uncommon? So in between common and rare, if you haven't played MtG.

Eh. "Who is going to send in the NAs" is always a hot potato in every wolf chat I've ever been in, and there's always some Euro that falls asleep before night actions are discussed and comes in with some hot insights and may or may not change the night actions before the deadline. Any wolf should be able to proxy whatever team actions they want to before the deadline, although obviously with full transparency ("yo, I'm going to check over the NAs when I get up and fix anything that looks egregious or remedy any oversights"); secret changes because you think you have a higher level strategic understanding of your own role than the rest of the chat but don't want to tell anyone else obviously shouldn't (and probably can't) be expressly disallowed, but the desire and/or practice of doing that can/should be roundly mocked as being the behavior of a terrible teammate.

was fun to watch from the sidelines, wolves owned! but yea village wins that setup like ~0% of the time when every wolf is a massive PR

Agree the early night thing ended our chances. But the village performance the next morning was especially bad. People just seemed to give up and let the wolves dictate everything and go along with it.
