If you either know about how far the earth is from the sun in miles (I think cartoons taught me 87M) or light seconds (about 8ish minutes?), only C works (according to my back of the envelope calculations)

Voyager's speed wasn't constant, hence the max word in the question

This was a hard question. I went back and forth a lot, but in the end I figured that the length of time CitR was out, and the fact that fewer people have been reading as over the years (and the fact that CirR is SUCH a well known book) that it was probably the answer. The flip side is the IMMENSE (but I think short term ?) popularity of the DaVinci code. It probably didn't help that I wanted CitR to be the correct answer.

Oh well, it was a good run for me. IN for the next one LDO!

And thanks for running these, they are great!

I knew it was close enough though because I also estimated based on C and my memory of light minutes to the sun. And by those calculations, the only answer that worked if voyager started off at max speed was the one I picked. (I was preparing to take some swags at acceleration, but I didn't have to, which was a pleasant surprise. (Otherwise I probably would have ended up hedging on that question)

Oh, and I wasn't lying about the cartoon part. The Jeep in Popeye wrote that (miles to the sun, probably the correct one) on a chalk board with his tail once and I have nfi why I remember that from my early childhood, but I do.

Da Vinci Code seemed too "obvious" for me, so I picked CITR. If it was Round 2, I'm hedging, but putting most of it on Da Vinci Code.

Second time in a row I've outleveled myself in Round 8.
