I’ve always felt that either werewolf or politics alone could not get a group of people quite angry enough for my liking, so I figured what better idea than to bring those two divisive things together into one awesome creation. So as POG’s godfather of keeping things real, I would like to bring you the first (I think?) Politics themed WW game. But I am just kidding about it making people angry--I will be keeping it lighthearted and fun...
If you are worried this game is going to be an awful exploration into modern US politics, fear not, it is not that type of game. The game will revolve mostly around the global struggle between communism, fascism, and liberal democracy that took place during the 20th century and on into today.
But trust me, it will be enjoyable and funny.
So why play in this game?
1) First and foremost, since Birdman is designing and modding the game, he can’t play in it.
So sign up for a Birdman-free experience!
2) It is going to be super funny.
3)There will be unique mechanics in the game to give a fresh take on the game without being gimmicky. So if you came back for the reunion games and were just thinking “ok maybe that is enough werewolf for me for the next decade” then this game is for you. Because it will not be stale.
4)There are no vanilla roles! Everyone will get an interesting role that has abilities beyond just being a vanillager, and even better will be the role flavor.
5) While I am going to try to make the game funny, my goal is also to keep the game from being overly gimmicky. I want "game solving" to be a key component to the enjoyment of all.
6)There will be various mechanics and restrictions in place to keep the post count at a reasonable level so that you can keep up with the thread without having to quit your job!
And if you are just now thinking “what does Birdman know about designing a fun werewolf game?” then you are probably just not old enough to remember the two masterpieces I designed and modded years and years ago:
Halo, CE

(three faction game that ended with a f3 of one villager, on neutral, and one wolf. epic!)
Zelda, Ocarina of Time

I am hoping to get at least 30 players to get the game off the ground, but am happy with any more than that--the more the merrier (here’s to wishful thinking)!
Depending on people’s preferences, I am hoping to target August 24th as the start date for the game if we can get enough people. I would also really love it if someone could help me co-mod--preferably someone who knows how to work that automatic vote counter thing
I am pretty flexible as far as EOD goes so I will try to see what people who sign up would prefer to figure out what that will look like.
