zomg, domer the humanitarian.

I was in Nepal once, backpacking the Himalayas, and stumbled into a monastery. There the monks were playing a game I recognized as similar to this game. It wasn't so much trivia as questions of what Buddha would do in a given situation, with the eldest of them deciding what was right and wrong. Philosophical and ethical questions, et cetera. Although I recognized very little of their spoken language and my loyal sherpa Pik-Pak was uninterested in the proceedings, they were excellent at acting it out for me and would be considered world class charades players if such a thing existed. It's an experience that has lived with me for some time now, and this game has rekindled that memory.

I came across a similar game when astral traveling through the Large Magellanic Cloud. They'd play against a team from the Tarantula Nebula answering questions about Dilithium Crystals and harnessing the Dark Energy of distant galaxies.

Yeah, USD recent strength was repeatedly in the news here recently. That combined with BOJ gets hugely twitchey whenever yen approaches 90 in USD cross had me pretty confident on my answer though I do not watch forex much these days.

Whilst Abenomics and printing money (Japanese Q easing) might superficially be argued as a cause, my guess with AUD and other crosses being uniformly weak it is end of USD Q which is driving dollar strength in USD/YEN cross.

Yeah that chart showing the last couple of months - probably shows when Fed stops Quant easing and the USD surge of what 10% vs the yen.
