Pretty sure Mathilda had a public ability stating anyone that killed her would be unable to recieve gifts from sponsors for the rest of the game.

Sponsor gifts are awarded by prominent individuals from Panem in a... well, very personal, even, dare I say it: Rather Capricious fashion.

This is an Audience Gift, chosen by the people of Panem as a whole, and if a majority of the audience is on Jon's side despite him having killed Mathilda, then so be it, he'll receive the gift.

There may also be a little something in store for whoever emerges as the Audience's #2 choice as well, so keep voting for your favourites, even the 2nd place may receive a small token of appreciation.

And we should have said earlier I guess, but whoever ends dead last in this poll may also receive a small token of ... well, the opposite of appreciation, if you get what I mean.
