I only own the gase game, King in Yellow and Dunwich Horror FWIW but bought the sleeves etc. for all epansions+one other game to save some money on shipping
I have a pretty awesome set of homemade balsa card storage/holding devices. Only cost me like $3 though.

Sleeves should arrive this week, I think to celebrate it I'll burn some 1920 Jazz mix CD and play with that after I'm done sleeving

I don't think it's overpriced, I don't think it's fairly ugly and I don't think it's rather inefficient either :P

all of them are great and put a different spin on the game. intrigue, seaside and alchemy are the three i've played and they're all fun. you need either intrigue or the original though if you want to use seaside or alchemy, as they are not stand alones but just expansions.

Meh it's like AH, if you have the stuff sorted etc it sets up a lot faster. Shouldn't take longer than 2-3 minutes

Got some friends into really playing Carcassone and want to pick up some expansions.

What are the ones I should get? River seems obvious.. River2 also good for mostly 3 player games?

Beyond that what else?

*bump*

7 Wonders is an amazing game, scales really well from 3-7 players and it's great as a "gateway game" and has replaced Ticket to Ride for me as the game to introduce people to. It's pretty quick to play 30-45 players; more players don't increase the time due to simultaneous action and on top of that it provides pretty rich strategy options without being "hard to play"

A+ game, pick it up.

Just played this last month. Great game, but I don't know where you'll be able to get 30-45 players to play this

I played that for the first time a few weeks ago. Seemed kind of lame. But maybe I just wasn't playing with very funny people.

So I read this whole thread since I was thinking of getting just one great game. Seems like Dominion is the overall favorite from what I can tell. Is there any luck involved in it though?

And as a bonus can someone tell me the top 3 (rank them) games out there that have the least luck of any games. Basically where it's all about strategy, tactics, and most importantly skill.

Puerto Rico has very little variance involved. There's no dice. The only randomization at all is drawing some tiles, but there are 5 to pick from. Almost entirely strategy.

Thanks, and what about Dominion, is it similar in those regards to Puerto Rico also?
