This introduction is all SHAMELESSLY stolen from legend42's Gap Peehs
here, so

I will post a series of related items, excerpted from actual lists or sequences (which will remain unnamed until the reveal). They will be divided into two parts with a certain number of missing items in between, represented by line of question marks like thus
??????????????
The object of the quiz is to name one of the missing items that correctly fits in between the two groups. And of course this is a peehs (reverse sheep) so the ultimate goal is to have your correct answer also be the least popular among all answers given.
Some of the lists will contain certain indicators to help clue you in to what they represent. You do not need to provide this indicator for your answers, only the item itself. Also, the lists may or may not contain the top or bottom items from the relevant encompassing list. Here's an example...
Q Ex.
Ken Griffey 613
Sammy Sosa 609
Frank Robinson 586
Mark McGwire 583
Harmon Killebrew 573
Rafael Palmeiro 569
Reggie Jackson 563
???????????????????????
Dave Winfield 465
Jose Canseco 462
Carl Yastrzemski 452
Jeff Bagwell 449
Dave Kingman 442
Andre Dawson 438
Juan Gonzalez 434
Cal Ripken 431
Mike Piazza 427
Hopefully, you might recognize this as a list of career home run leaders (save the Mitchell Report jokes, please). There are 19 eligible answers that would fit in between these two lists (including Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, Manny Ramirez, A-Rod, etc.). You would not need to provide the HR total, just the name.
Note that all-time great sluggers like Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and Willie Mays are NOT correct answers, as they hit *more* home runs than Griffey's current 613.
Some of the lists will be easily identifiable. Others are more elusive. It is not necessarily imperative to know what the lists represent in order to come up with a correct answer, providing you at least recognize the basic relationship among the items. I have tried to provide adequate information that it should not be too hard to crack the mystery of what the lists are. Coming up with a correct answer, especially an unsheepy one, should be the challenge.
Unnumbered list with no spaces as usual
NO RESEARCH
The questions will be in my next post. Good luck!
