It's the "I assume X is w so Y and Z who interacted with X are not w with him" rhetoric that I don't like. Saying "they aren't w/w" is one thing. Saying they they look good because X is definitely w is wolfy rhetoric and the kind of thing wolves say about villagers to avoid having to develop genuine reads.

I did (obviously) mean that imo they aren't w/w with toedder

however, while in a normal game this would mean that they're villas if toedder is a wolf (neutrals/sk/whatever aside), here that's not the case

but if i were to simply say "they're not in toedder's faction," that would be too weak, because not being in toedder's faction if toedder is a wolf actually does make them slightly >rand to be villa for the reason i gave earlier

which is both interesting and useful for us to keep in mind, giving whatever grain of salt that early associative/combinatoric reads like that are due

all it means is that they're villagers ~79 percent of the time rather than ~75 percent, but it's valid nonetheless

I have some thoughts and a few reads to share

But first, at the risk of further bogging the thread down in #mechanicschat: I really liked the thoughts of both digger and confirmedtroll wrt how wolf hunting should be approached this game, but only if their assumptions about multiple factions existing in this game are correct. Do we know this for certain? (That was rhetorical, the answer is a resounding 'no!')

In my humblest of opinions, I think it would be unwise to operate all-in today as though we know this for sure. We have a different mod team this time and, given that fact plus the text of the OP, I think it would be a dangerous assumption to make. I have no doubt that characters are grouped based on the flavor of the lore, but that doesn't necessarily mean we are dealing with multiple wolf factions itg. Obviously we will know more as the game progresses and can adjust accordingly, but I think the best course of action *for today* is to lynch/shoot the wolfiest posters as we would in any standard mash.
