You personally cost yourself EV to be cute with the defection.

The top heavy point system means the 33% chance at 4th is well worth the (very realistic) shot at 2nd or higher.

OR

You may be planning on submitting tomorrow and hoping you get 33% chance at 2nd.

Part of the delima is that I didn't really have an explicit deal with luckay, but there is an implied one of good faith.

Also, the whole reason I told luckay to go lion is that if you went to block him bob still would advance in points.

Yes, but I didn't have quite the same obligation as you did. You'll note that I even told Luckay I could almost understand his defection if he benefited a whole lot from it. He just didn't.

I'm always good on my word.. I wouldn't have screwed a defector to us over. I was willing to personally sacrifice in that spot to help my team come from behind.

Anyways.. my DNS is final. I even submitted a DNS entry for the hell of it

It is a small victory to know Luckay probably won't get higher than third. I would really like to finish ahead of him after his stunt.. and am more than happy to let Bob finish ahead of me tomorrow.

If you did what I think you did that was a really good play. I'm assuming you left it up to Bob (without looking at the totals while replying).

I did not, had luckay voted with all his votes on you he would still be here. I am kind of baffled. I thought about leaving up to bob, but figured that was too dickish of me.
