Initial powers and powers marked (**) are ongoing, all other powers are one time use only.

Good Roles:

The Archpriest:

Initial Power: Sanctuary: May protect one player other than himself from nightkill/conversion. Protect is 50% on power roles and 0% on Adept, whose wards interfere.

Potential Powers:

Detect Evil: Determine the number of existing vampires.**
Divine Voice: Upon death, archpriest loses all powers and ability to vote, but may continue posting in the game thread.
Forced Confession: Target of action may only tell the truth that day (solely in the mod's determination) at risk of modkill.

The Adept:

Initial Power: Warded Dwelling Immune to night actions save kills and peeking.

Potential Powers:

Scry Future: Learns result of one of the next day's events in advance.**
Gate Spell: Saves a player other than himself from lynch. Player receiving next highest number of votes dies.
Paralyzing Fear Spell: Nullifies three players for the day. Their votes are not tallied, they receive no night actions, and no events.
Waking Sleep: Permits players to continue talking and posting during the "night" phase.

The Commander:

Initial Power: Exert Influence: Votes to lynch or choose day events are counted double.

Potential Powers:

Chain of Command: May assign his powers to another player in the event he is roleblocked or silenced.
Boost Morale: Three players of his choice get a double vote for the day.
Summary Execution: Immediately ends day and lynches player with the highest current vote total.


Village Priest: As standard seer role.

Vampire Hunter: Vigilante with 2 stakes and one vial of holy water. Villagers are immune to death by holy water, but water will kill Blood Heirs.

Blood Heirs: Players that are told they are villagers but have inherited a strain of vampire blood. Special things happen to them if they are targeted for night kill. More to come.

What other night actions are there?

IOW, technically speaking, all participants in the NASCAR WW are immune to all night actions besides kills and peeks.

That will become evident when I post the rest of the roles. I have a disease where as soon as I start posting the roles I start tweaking them one final time.

Although he won't be modding this, the roleset is a GT1T/VR joint production (with extensive early input from durron who won't be modding either) so I have to get some last-minute changes signed off on.

Neutral Role:

The Renegade:

Initial Power: Build Army: Chooses one player each night to feed upon. If human, that player will convert to the Renegade Team, unless they have a special immunity. The Renegade must feed every night to keep his newborn vampire flock alive. If Renegade attempts to feed upon a Noble Vampire, a Blood Heir, or the Priest or someone the Priest is protecting, his conversion will fail, and his most recent convert, if any, will starve from lack of food.

Secondary Power: Drain Life: After the Renegade has built his team to three, the team may choose to kill instead of convert for their nightly feed, avoiding the risk associated with a conversion feeding.**

Notes:

The Original Renegade is immune to NK by the Nobles or the Hunter. To exit the game he must be lynch.

The Renegade is not rand()ed in the original roleset, but will be pulled from one of the Blood Heirs at the beginning of night 1.

One quibble, if I may.

The forced confession sounds like it would to tough to implement without making it gamebreaking. It sounds like it also could conceivably drive the confessor into silence for the day, which isnt fair, and also, not much fun for anyone.

That is probably the one that we have had the most concerns regarding. I think implementation is key here, and we have some ideas, but no final decision yet.

And please do quibble away!
