The "pepper - unlimited" clue was a rookie mistake upon reflection. I should have made it "pepper - 4".

I knew that our best shot of winning was to get all 5 words in 2 tries and I couldn't think of a good way to pair "Potter" up with anything. With "sled" being the assassin word I wasn't too worried about you guys accidentally hitting it so I figured it was worth a shot. And I thought there might be a slim chance that once you went down the ladder of peppers -> squash -> boil that you might make the leap to boiling the peppers in a pot.

I should have been more careful about "blizzard" though, because knocking that off the board gave the blue team a great shot at winning that otherwise wouldn't have been on the board. For the life of me I can't imagine how to connect "blizzard", "tiger", and "bath".

Anyhow... great game everyone and thanks again to two of the greatest teammates a noob could ask for!

in hindsight we shoulda played it more passively on blizzard since 3s are usually hard to get

I think red had the advantage in this one. Having "blizzard" as a blue word with "sled" being the assassin word is a pretty big handcuff.

Tying in "police" and "ambulance" would have been easy with a word like 'siren' or 'emergency'. Going with 'gunfire' and getting both of those words, plus "tank" was a terrific clue and it scared me into going unlimited on my next clue.

We had a nice 4 word link with pepper. Other game tried it also with cook but didn't get them all on first pass.

You did not play poorly. We almost got there. Sometimes it's just difficult.
