when i hear that song i always think of their letterman performance. it's probably a character flaw but i'm annoyed by their happiness.

Only thing I can think when I hear this: TV ad song. Peugeot.

What annoys me more is that she has turned her back towards the audience half the time. Seriously, this is a live performance LOOK AT THE AUDIENCE GODAMMIT!

The opening is the best bit of this song.

Needs both more ska and more punk and better vocals. Just feels slightly too polished for ska-punk type stuff, and yes I know I criticised Roo's ska-punk song earlier for having rubbish unpolished vocals but whatever, I'm inconsistent.

I'll let you off because LTJ have about 20 better songs and nearly all of them are punkier.

Holy videogame music batman! But yeah, I liked the bits where this sounded all 'Zelda-y' (see 2:25 for an example), and it hit a chord occasionally at other times, but overall I think too much of this just didn't quite work for me. Definitely interesting though.

Love the genre idea, just missing something in the execution.

**** yeah polka-type stuff! I feel like I should be drinking in a beer garden somewhere banging my stein in time with the music. But then again, five minutes of this is a LOT and it doesn't really build or go anywhere that interesting and while I love it for the first couple of minutes it really does start to get old.

this would have been a hilarious entry for category 8 though

KA! LASH! NI! KOV!

I feel like I should like this more, but despite it having really quite a nice vibe, it doesn't grab me at all.

Maybe a little too slow for a Walrus? It grew on me a bit, but still hasn't really got me that excited - it's perfectly nice but just not feeling it for some reason.

This was a lot of fun. The sort of genre I'd normally skip over instantly, but this was definitely way above average.

Man the first minute or so of this is incredible, the rest of it isn't quite so good but is still a lot of fun. Feels like it would make incredible gym/running music. Definitely a solid decision by ChrisV to submit the radio edit though.

I don't know what it is about The Walkmen, but I could never get into that album or anything else by them. Except maybe In The New Year, that's a pretty solid song.

Edit: Actually In The New Year is amazing, wonder why I never got into them.

I quite like The Rat, but not super lots. That's the only song I'd heard before now and it hadn't been enough to get me to check them out further.

Great chilled out track, perfect for sitting by the beach watching the sun go down. It sounds SO warm! Unfortunately loses something in dark cold London right now.

Just hit a ceiling I think. It is insanely goddamn catchy, the sorta echoey chanting bits in the verse actually kinda work which is weird, and the whole ridiculous robot bit (honestly don't want to spoil this for anyone who hasn't watched the video yet) made me lol so much the first time. You are ****ing weird, Korea.

Treep is basically top of my list now for 'person I would most trust to choose the music for a house party'.

Goddamn those instrumentals are so incredibly awesome. The singing is fun enough but pretty standard Gershwin, but it's really that uber-bouncy instrumental section that I love. Just throwing that melody back and forth across the band and bouncing around. So good.

Again, trended downwards from a first listen, it's nice and catchy and has some good moments but ultimately just not quite as good as the other tracks here.
