You wouldn't comprehend my thought process if I explained it fully. I rarely ever completely explain myself for 2 reasons:

1) I'm lazy and I can carry games on my own for the most part
2) People don't get the way I think about the game so I just keep it to myself.

i find it incredibly hard to believe a villager would make this post, namely due to villagers not being good enough to differentiate between someone not being a villager and someone being a wolf as opposed to a neutral, and a villager would point out why his role clears up said things

maybe if he has a village power role then he thought it in his best interest to claim what he did, and not doing villagery stuff does not automatically equate to being wolfy

let's be clear i'm not outright defending him, i'd just like to see village focus go in a different direction first
