lolno, there's some great country

Nu-metal < pop-punk.

There's the odd bouncy pop punk track I get on with, there's virtually no good nu-metal.

When I think of pop-punk, All Time Low are the first band to come to my head. They know what they are, and they're good at it. For my sins, I enjoy this:

There are good nu-metal songs. Even just sticking with the 'big' songs from that period 10 years ago, I still enjoy listening to these:

Evanescence - Bring Me To Life
Deftones - Back To School
Korn - Freak On A Leash

There's definitely a stigma attached to liking this sort of thing though.

Interestingly they get remember as something of a one hit wonder, but this was nearly as big at the time and, for my money, is much better.

Movies >>>>>>>>>> Smooth Criminal

Glad no one submitted SC.

Oh right, for some reason everyone seemed to like the 2010 Deftones album. I tried to keep a straight face when my friends told me.

I know I'm doing a bad thing when I listen to All Time Low but I don't care. They're not deep or special but, as you say, they're good at what they do.

Definitely. I love Movies. I used to like Smooth Criminal but I was young and it was my first exposure to the genre. I just thought it was the most obvious one someone could submit.

I'm going to start diversifying starting with the next category. Maybe I shoulda kept up the theme and submitted a Saints song.

In my opinion, the weakest Jam songs are to be found on their first two albums. Now, I wouldn't pick "Heat Wave" if the category was Jam songs, but it's a fun, energetic romp through a classic tune.

and this is the far superior version of Pressure drop:

But the thought counts.
The original is great. Still, I love the guitar and the somewhat more dynamic arrangement in the Clash version.

Who's your team? And what's today's category?

Accrington Stanley , so my interest in MoTD is more general. It would be fun to see Palace stay up (it would've been a lot more entertaining with Holloway still in charge, pretty disappointing to see Holloway and Di Canio go) and Arsenal win the title (just because it would be unexpected and Wenger is the only manager who's stayed at his job more than a few years, I don't care one way or the other about Arsenal)

A song from Asia or Oceania.

Question 5!

A song from Asia or Oceania

This is a walrus that you put in your fridge then when you open the door it barks. Oh Japan.

Gangnam Style = 0!

I was surprised that some people had difficulty with this. After all, it is two whole continents and a bunch of stuff immediately springs to my mind for it.

It was inspired by this band:

I didn't know there was a video for it until right now. I didn't even know it had been released outside of Japan, and yet there are white people in this video.

I found it randomly on Beatport, the iTunes of dance music, whilst looking for The Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust. Weirdly, it's only one there and iTunes (in the UK at least) on compilations. What I did find though, was Elmio's cover.

https://soundcloud.com/ikrima/elmio-...-records-japan

More people should cover house classics.

This is also amazing:

He's a video game composer whose worked on a few big franchises.

If I was to go for Oceania then, apart from Seeking which I posted for the first question, it would probably be this:

Redd-look-how-clever-I-am-skirting-the-rules-for-no-reason-boiler with Gentleman by Psy

Country: South Korea

I've obviously heard it before, and it's not even good. The music is mediocre at best, the video is alright.
