It can easily be read the opposite way: You can read it as a scum sacrificing day one to cause a mason to be lynched, to spare vaya.
However, disko is the instant lynch next day. And, then the natural progression is, was he trying to save scum vaya. That's 2 for 1 mason, a bad trade for wolves.
Further, the wolves didn't murder fanmail when it failed.
I just don't see that as disko's move as scum. The softness of the counter, the way the wolves were positioned, the play to continually no-lynch fanmail after.... you go for broke murdering fanmail afterward because you have to collect your prize after you out yourself to try to lynch him.
A scenario where he's willing to trade himself for fanmail but not murder him for 2 more nights? Completely off the wall.
Is he that much of a beastly wolf that he could do that?
I'd do a lot of **** and I'd never fricking do that.
Why does disko out himself to destroy fanmail, when if he clearly thinks that fanmail is a mason claiming, he can't just murder fanmail?
A townie tries the fake counter, because a townie can't murder fanmail. He has to try to lynch fanmail if he thinks fan is scum.
A wolf doesn't need to out himself to destroy fanmail by lynch there, and, he could have gotten bussing credit for saving fanmail and lynching vaya instead, then, murdering fanmail.
And when his scum gambit blew up in his face, and vaya died, and he got immediately suspected, he still no-murders him the next night?
That's just begging to lose a game.
That's the correct play for disko as wolf, isn't iot?
All right, since I miss like half of the game every day, can you guys keep my posts on this page in your mind a little bit and pretend like I am still here commenting, and these are my comments.
I have UncleDynamite as lock town in 99% of all cases.
There is one, singular, exception:
1) Bhuber and xkf are both not wolf.
2) But Ashington does flip wolf.
Then, UncleDy is the guy who came to his most heroic defense, using his own townie credits and meta history that I absolutely can't be arsed to confirm for myself, that he does that flinch as villager and never as wolf.
It's a long shot, but it's the only way I see UncleD as wolf.
In summary, Two scenarios left in my mind that I'm willing to explore:
(Jay/Leo are excused for the rest of the game because town no lynches them for 3 rounds while I wail about it)
Scenario 1:
xkf/bhuber are excellent lynches. Both could in fact be wolf, if I'm hella wrong about everything this game. But I lean more towards one being wolf, and then:
Ashington.
Scenario 2: The farfetched long shot
Just Ashington and UncleD, and the only circumstance UncleD is wolf.
1) xkf, of xkf versus bhuber.
2) If xkf is villa, lynch bhuber
3) If xkf is wolv, lynch Ashington.
4) If Ashington is villa, and xkf is wolf, return to lynching bhuber
5) If xkf and bhuber are both villa, lynch Ashington
6) If scenario 5 is accurate, lynch UncleD after Ashington, and in no other circumstance.
I really don't know what to make of two posts in two days from disko.
I similarly don't know what to make of pizza's almost obsessive tunneling of me, especially now that yet another of my early votes has flipped wolf. Nothing short of my reveal is gonna make this headache inducing crap stop I guess.
Xkf and jay might be the last two. I don't feel great about any particular vote at this point.
I'm going to be traveling this weekend and my volume will be very very low.
