Game Rules
- The entire game is one game day only. There is only 1 voting/lynch phase, but more than 1 player may die. (See Deaths and Win Conditions below)
- For the purpose of some game mechanics, players are sitting in a "circle". The player list posted at the beginning of the game will represent the order in which they're sitting. (Players at the top and bottom of the list are adjacent) Some roles are dependent on relative positions within the circle.
- Voting is done privately. Voting can be announced ITT but the only votes that will count at the end of the game is whatever you PM me.
- Wolves do NOT have Wolfchat
- Any two adjacent players can 'Whisper' together. Both parties must agree, and must PM the mod with their intentions to whisper. Once confirmed by the Mod ITT, parties are free to use "outside communication" for the duration of the game. The Mod will confirm by announcing the two players that have engaged in Whispering in the game thread. Players can 'undo' their request to whisper with someone via PM. This can not be used to angleshoot.
Complete Role list. Be sure to read your role carefully:
Team Townsfolk Roles:
Villager: Can appoint a ringleader (anyone but themselves). Ringleader gets an extra vote. All Villagers who appoint must agree on a Ringleader or none will be appointed. (Activate)
Gossip: Learns a possible role for two random players. At least one of which must be true. (Passive)
Watcher: Can learn two possible roles for a single player, one true and one false. (Activate)
Tracker: Can listen for Wolves on one half of the table. Tracker "leans" to one side (please specify up or down) and will hear if there is a "growl" (read: at least 1 wolf) above or below. The range reaches 3 players in a 6/7 player game, and 4 in an 8 player game. (Activate)
Saint: The Saint learns the identity of a Wolf at the start of the game. However, if all of the Wolves vote for the Saint at the end of the game, the Townsfolk lose. (Passive)
Houndsman: The Houndsman can sniff adjacent players and learn their roles. (Passive). Both parties must be engaged in whispering beforehand.
Astrologer: The Astrologer looks to the stars and learns of a Role that is definitely in play. (Passive)
Drifter: The Drifter will learn of two roles that were not randed to players during the game. (Passive)
Team Werewolf Roles:
Wolf: Knows who the other Wolves are (not the Turncloak). Can sniff adjacent players and learn their roles. (Passive). Both parties must be engaged in whispering beforehand.
Turncloak: Knows who the Wolves are, but counts as a Townsfolk. Wins with the Wolves.
Team Neutral Roles:
Deviant: The Deviant wins only when he is killed
Definitions:
(Activate): Your role must be activated and your target(s) sent to the Mod sometime before the voting phase begins (if you wish to use it). You will not get a result before the game begins
(Passive): Information gained by your role will be sent automatically to you by the Mod before the game begins.
Deaths:
The player(s) with the most votes after the voting phase is killed. (Exception Saint if all the Werewolves vote for him.)
Win Conditions:
Only 1 faction can win. The win cons are 'tiered' and, if multiple wincons are met, the higher wincons in this list trump the lower:
Tier #1: Deviant wins if he is killed
Tier #2: Wolves win if all Wolves vote to kill the Saint
Tier #3: Townsolk win if a Wolf is among the deaths
Tier #4: Wolves win if only Townsfolk are killed
