I wasn’t ceding power to them then, I might be now depending on how these claims play out because in a game with wolves of varying power a group of confirmed villagers are on the whole going to make better decisions than a group of mixed villagers and wolves

Even if the wolves know the target, they can't do anything about it if they don't know who the shooter is. If the target happens to be the redirector...well...deciding it in thread won't make much difference, & will at least make it clear what happened.

If the non-PR votes count for nothing, then making them state a preference counts for nothing. If fnord says "I vote Nichp" and then someday nich turns up wolf, why would you think fnord was villager for it? or wolf for it?

Actually wait I have this backwards, its actually completely fine if the wolves kill a different power role then the backup. BAsically I just think the fact that the backup becomes vanilla D3 is somehow relevant. Ideally it would be nice if the wolves fail to kill anyone. But whoever they kill we'll have the same amount of PR's the next day unless they're able to knock off 2 which is highly unlikely. I actually think the wolves should kill 2 villagers intentionally tonight maybe? We have to discuss these things. we SHOULD discuss the best wolf startegy as if we don't the wolves get to talk about it all on their own

This was an immediately obvious consequence of your suggestion which I might add you were very, VERY adamant about. If you really didn't think this was coming then you didn't think this through nearly enough to have been so forceful about your opinion in the first place.

Seemed pretty clear to me from the initial writeup. If you needed clarification on that, maybe you should have asked about it BEFORE outing the whole village?

Yup. The backup's only usefulness at this point is to cover for the power roles.

Which is why I am especially suspicious of Bobo's push for the backup to out.

OK, so since we're never going to lynch a power role today (assuming I cant convince everyone to lynch you), then the backup can NEVER become a power role. They are just a villager who has a title. This can be useful because if they claim that title and someone Counters, then we know 1 of 2 is a wolf. If no one counters we can trust the backup to not be trying to get a villager killed.

Which won't happen. Look around at who's PR. dmk, Shorty, soah? They're not taking anything from anyone else, they have their own reads and they stick to them.

Seems like a reasonable list, but we can't lynch VR or Chuckles if they don't show up to claim I don't think?
