Welcome to Greendale! The start of a new term is upon us, with all the excitement and sexual tension that putting a load of young people with a lot of free time together always brings. Troy and Abed will be here to give us a proper summary at the start of d1, but for now please accept this statement prepared by management.

However, dark times are upon us. While we have been used to being defended by the rag-tag bunch of misfits known as the ‘Study Group’, it appears that all those who wish to see Greendale fail have joined forces, intent on bringing the school down. Now, we do not want any confusion. While they may also be a rag-tag bunch of misfits, they bear no resemblance to the noble warriors of Greendale. We must not let them get the better of us!

Role PMs will start being sent out shortly. Any n0 actions must be in by 6:00am server time at the latest! If all n0 actions are received before this time the thread MAY open early for d1.

• As long as the game is ongoing, you may talk about the game only inside the game thread
• You may post in the game thread only when it is DAY
• You may post only when you are alive
• If you have a role which allows you to communicate outside the game thread, then you may do so only when allowed by your role, and only with individuals specified by your role
• You may not edit or delete posts in the game thread for any reason at any time
• You may not post screenshots of, or directly quote your role PM, seer peeks, or any other game-related communication that originated outside of the game thread
• You are expected to participate

Werewolf is a game about lying and catching people lying. It's an adversarial game and arguments between players are normal and expected. Passion and Intensity are fine but excessively personal attacks or insults are not. Even in a werewolf game you must respect the forum rules about civility. Failure to do so may cause you to be infracted or temp banned, and repeated problems may get you perma-banned.

Werewolf is also a community and team-based game. While there are many styles and strategies and reasons for playing and you may choose your own, you are expected to be respectful of the time and energy others put in as players and as moderators. You are expected to play to win. Intentionally sabotaging your team, or choosing strategies with the sole purpose of trolling other players in the game is not allowed.

Voting

Each day, each player is allowed (and encouraged) to vote to lynch a player. To do so, type the name of the player in bold; That is: zurvan

You may remove your vote by posting "unvote". You may change your vote simply by voting the new player; you do not need to unvote.

At the end of the scheduled game day, the player with the most votes is lynched, and his role revealed in the thread. If two or more players are tied for the most votes, one of the tied players is chosen randomly by the moderator.

Day and Night Times

All times given are server time, which is also Eastern Standard Time.

I will open the thread every morning by posting "It is day." You may not post in the thread until I have made the morning post. Day will usually start at 7am

Day lasts until 8:00 pm. Posting at 8:00 is acceptable, and votes with that time stamp will be counted. Posting after that, even just a minute after, is not acceptable, even if I have not yet declared it night by posting "It is night." Do not post in the thread at any time, for any reason, between the end of the day and the opening of the thread the next morning.

Weekends are different: There is not "night" Saturday night -- the thread remains open from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. There is no scheduled Saturday night lynch.

ITAs

There will be a one-hour long ITA session at 3pm server time on each of d2, d3 and d4. During ITAs, shots will be resolved as ‘Hit, killed, ‘Hit, no effect’ or ‘Miss’. The roles of players killed during ITAs will not be revealed until the end of the ITA session.

Each role pm contains the following information: character name, image, flavour, role name and power.

The only things you may claim is your power. You may NEVER claim your character name, image or flavour. You may NOT claim your role name unless it is an common role, such as seer, roleblocker or watcher (these roles may or may not actually be in the game). If you are uncertain whether your role name is common, please contact the mod BEFORE claiming it in thread.

Example:
In the above example, I may ONLY claim that I am a villager with the power to call night up to two hours early once. Nothing else.

You may not quote any part of your role PM in the game or any screenshots thereof.

General:

• Wolves have been given a list of villager roles that are not in this game to protect them from a mass claim
• There is no Majority Lynch in this game.

But beneath the idyllic facade, all is not well at Greendale.

And this time, it's more worrying than just some dead possum.

Troy and Abed in the Morning has received EXCLUSIVE information that a group of ne'er-do-wells.

Thanks, Abed. A group of ne'er-do-wells who want nothing more than to see Greendale fail and be closed forever have infiltrated the campus.

Posing as normal students, and maybe even professors, they are even now plotting to bring Greendale down from within, and to build an all-new Subway training centre on its remains.

But up with this we will not put! I am sure all students will agree with the measures we have put into place. The whole faculty will identify the individual who is most likely to be a threat to Greendale. That individual will then be summarily expelled!
