It's not really from the same era (at least the song I'm thinking of), but it's still possible.

Plus there's a non-zero chance that this (and not compound) is the final insulation word.

Given how weak everything else is, I don't hate this.

We're probably thinking of the same song, I only have a loose understanding of when it came out.

I've been thinking that catcher in the rye has something to do with the YMCA, based on weak memories of me reading some of it 30 years ago for school. Any thoughts on that?

If it's the one by Peggy Lee that goes "fever when you hold me tight" or whatever, that's from the early 1960s I think.

I read it like 10-15 years ago and don't recall that. Possible it's there and I don't remember it, but I doubt it's a major plot point that just completely slipped my mind.

Yeah, I figured you’d end up doing a relook eventually, but you needed to get to Pentagon first, which Zurvan did but it wasn’t discussed more between you two.
