I think Aztec & Trunk are pretty obvious on the treasure front. Trunk's hold treasure, and the Aztec's were swimming in gold.

After that - maybe Luck? King? War, since people went to war for treasure?

And Unicorn was blue. Ugh. Probably should’ve guessed both real quadrupeds before the imaginary one, but oh well.

This is where I kind of get confused.



Why the 1 clue? Our restaurant list order hadn’t changed from before when he went with unlimited. So I read this as go with Button and then guess the lock remaining quadruped word (Mole).

I think this means Mexico is wrong. I’m thinking it’s neutral. If it was blue (or orchid), he wouldn’t have given us an unlimited clue in round 2 when it was the 3rd word on our list.

Or maybe Mexico is right, but Tablet is a miss and he wanted to make sure we couldn’t just keep going down the list. Maybe he didn’t expect we’d pull an audible and go with Mole instead of Mexico.

Yeah, we need two more words and they’re both restaurant words. I have no idea which of Cat/Mole/Button/Lawyer would be an overlap, but it has to be one of them. I’m not concerned about it, we know Lawyer is right regardless.

Based on our list, the only words we’ve ever tied to restaurant have been:

Chair - neutral
Water - red
Change - red
Mexico - led away from?
Tablet
Opera

You mentioned Concert early on, but it never made our list.

So, I’m thinking we close this out with:

I’m also likely dead wrong and could use your thoughts here. eb and I haven’t been on the same wavelength for much of this thread for some reason.

Oh, and I just realized that Mole could be one of the restaurant words. Molé sauce.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if it’s Tablet that should be skipped instead of Mexico.

Given the 1 clue for fastener, I don’t think the combo can be Mexico/Tablet. It has to be either Mexico/Opera or Tablet/Opera.

I don’t think it can be. fastener - unlimited gets us Button/Mexico/Tablet/Mole and then we close it out with Lawyer.

Or hell, who knows - maybe this whole time he’s been trying to keep us off of Opera because it’s dark orchid and has been at the end of our list.

This might be it. He knew he couldn’t let us run the full list for the fastener clue because we would’ve been good until Opera, which is a baddie. Now Opera doesn’t have to be guessed because Mexico and Tablet are still there and we only need two.

Also, Opera is a stretchy word at best for restaurant. Mexico and Tablet fit so much better imo.
