Want your thoughts on France...should filthy (or anyone) be cluing Food (uppercase) if France is meant to be hit? Other than that concern, I think it's the strongest fourth word.

Also thinking more about staff. Wouldn't we have gotten veterinarian - 3 (instead of 2) if staff was ours?

Witch could also very well be theirs

Park is out as it was next on list so he woulda clued 3 for n-1

Staff is decent for food, but yeah he woulda done vet - 3 I think also so I wanna look elsewhere unless it’s def the best one

I agree on apple/cook/soul for lock 3

Line and France are prolly the two best options

France was first I thought of, but food line is pretty good

I like France best I think

If not for soul, I’d say pastry would be better for France+apple+cook but the only way to get soul with those words is to say exactly food

I think tho if France or line is correct that he gives same clue either way

Maybe chef is slightly better for France combo? But we’d prolly go staff over soul so I don’t think he deviates from food - 4 if France is ours

Chef doesn't hit soul too well. We'd be having this same conversation over that word if he went chef, I agree with your analysis: re same clue for line or France in the combo. They need 5, so even if we get this wrong it's probably 50/50 to still win. He basically has to use food to hit soul, so I don't think there's much we can really read into the specifics. I'd say go France.

Also, just wanted to say my coworkers and I do a weekly codenames hour now, and earlier today we got a Columbine - 3 clue for mass, shoot and memory. HR was not on that zoom call. Memory was the tough one, but it came up when I questioned why he didn't clue a more recent mass shooting. ****ing america...
