i think it was made difficult because there are so few comics that havent done tv or film, particularly nowadays.

he actually did make a short film called ninja bachelor party but i'm fairly sure nobody has ever seen it. he also used music a lot in his acts. hopefully that didn't put anyone off

So on a side note, how should we interpret "known for" when asked in a question here? To me a guy like George Carlin has been on tv and has been in movies but is only known for stand up.

yeah i dont know. we need to think up a better qualifier.

it's really hard sometimes when someone asks musician or author or whatever and they do it part-time. i just usually assume that they mean are they famous in that particular field
