thread so snarky to start

when i say "lets play the game" obviously its the first question in a line of question
thought that was obvious

what are wolfy about them
making their entrance and then leaving only?
are the posts themselves wolfy to you?
do you think its a combo where the post is only wolfy BECAUSE they left?

The biggest thing to bear in mind is that VMF tends to drop off in effort level in the lategame as wolf. He is a player for which postcount does actually provide a strong indicator to role, at least postcount after 4-5 days.
You seem to know a lot of players' games very well in some detail.

Do you wish to remain anonymous to us? I will only ask once who you really are, and then I'll drop it. Hope you don't me asking though, obviously I'm very curious.

i think hes saying
he finds the entrances throughout the days
like "sup bros home from work gonna reread now"
etc
more telling than someones literal first post

Entrance posts seem completely and utterly irrelevant to me I don't quite get the obsession. If anything the second post would be much more useful. First one isn't really playing yet, its just whatever.

I'm not sure that this was a pre-game written post. "Everypony" isn't common vernacular. For humans.

Ah ok xpost ghana xpost

I don't think there's anything necessarily wolfy about the posts themselves. It's more they came in, made their appearance and then vanished. That's probably somewhat wolfy.

It's late at night, so I'm not going to make a big deal about it. Maybe they went to bed. I'm going to bed myself. We'll see what they say manana.

It is my experience that while wolves will tend to be honest about their strength, the way they express it can be very telling.
A villager who is new will be more apologetic, a wolf who is new will be more "don't lynch me for this"
A villager who is experienced tends to be humble, a wolf who is experienced will have an agenda of "so you should listen to me" behind their words.

The three reads he gave were:
You are villagery
TheNothing was villagery because her opening was villagery
Applejack is hard to read. (kinda calls him wolfy and villagery at the same time?)
None of those strike me as something worthy of being impressed with. Also I don't find them good nor clear.

I think this would be a good point for others to weigh in on.

Now that I have given the answer, you're going to ask me why didn't I say mets was wolfy amirite? I asked if mets was, but concluded neutral. Perhaps I should have concluded neutral on the others as well?

Doesn't that make it more likely to be pre-game written then? From reading the other MLP games?

coolio
my question was going to be:

"why do you think something like that happens more from a wolf than a villager?"

I like this tbh. Anonymous posting is fairly annoying. I'm not sure what there is to hide although super strong players dying early all the time must suck. I have no intention in becoming a strong player. Heh.

At least answer me this Stern.... have I played with you in any long games? More than one?

Agree - reading entrance posts is only useful for very, very new players.
Unless of course they have content in them.

How do you not comment on the most intriguing part of that?

He's saying as a wolf dryice cannot maintain reads like this
therefore he gets a villager lean
that doesnt make sense
hes a villager because he made a read when as a wolf he wont be able to continue it?

meh its the first few hours of d1 brah. its easy to keep up villagery appearances for an hour no matter how poor a wolf is, so most of my reads so far are conditional, no one in my eyes has done anything to solidify a read yet..

Your second paragraph is alright
go more into it
what do you look for when looking at entrances
i generally look for the super obvious fake promise "hey guys just checking in, i'll reread now and be back later with work", but also i like to look at who times their entrances with ongoing debates to fade into the background but then doesn't actually enter those discussions..

for example in the pokemon game cphoya and luckay had a HUGE argument over mechanics, luckay's % reads list and how the wolf busser role was being played(luckay was the busser which was pretty amusing), and many of the wolf team used that as time to post generally trivial content that faded into the background.

finally the wolves can talk before they commit to posting so i'm also generally suspicious of people that come in with statements that feel pre-written or spongy of other players..

i'l admit im no where near a master at WW, but these are some of the things i take notes on when looking at people coming into the thread throughout the game..

4 reads on page 1 is good imo. He gave noah a villa lean, and also noted an interesting dynamic on game overlap and participation. I thought it was a good post. I really need to go to bed now.
