like, let's say we're somehow able to impose order and discipline such that people have to wait for the previous shot to resolve before taking their own shot, and we have an order in which shots will be taken
player A: I will be shooting player x
<nobody else shoots before resolution>
mod: player y is dead!
in that scenario, either a wolf took a shot at the same time as player A (which admittedly puts some noise into the system, but which would presumably be made clear later on if "Miss" is also announced in the thread) or else player A lied about who they were shooting
obv this is all contingent on results being announced with each shot, so i should prob read the OP first before blathering on about this more
I thought about this too when I read the OP, and I think that the mods intentionally made ITA shots private so that we'd have to read each other's posts and you know play WW instead of being able to point to direct actions, even something like, "I'm going to shoot X, agree? BAM! X IS DEAD!"
instead we have to read everyone and play WW just to tell if someone is telling the truth
and we get an interesting conundrum if someone dies and more than one person claims teh shot
