ok, I had some thoughts ready, but then I got to the end and forgot them all, because that was somewhat hilarious

but in reading the thread I did confirm lastchance's reads on dustin and hitch.

also, hitch spewed enough to win us this game I think

I randomly selected some things to quote as I went along which will follow shortly.

I fortunately remembered that swiitch is me before commenting on this post. So now that I know it's me, I'll just say that I'm obviously a villager. swiitch is in that stage of his ww development where he knows that coming out and calling wolves villagers gets people lynched, but he hasn't developed the necessary metagame and confidence to try to do it as a level 3 wolf play. and hitch sorta stands out here being the strongest of his very few reads.

hmm, the way I worded this post makes it sound like I changed my mind on what I was going to post upon learning swiitch is me, which is lol-wolfy, but what actually happened was I was just quoting it originally to say "lol" and I hadn't even noticed that hitch was one of the only people he'd commented on. I'm going to leave the wolfiness of my post intact so that you can all see my stream of consciousness.

hell, this post is a disaster now because now it looks like I'm recycling the exact same meta-crap I said two games back as a villager.

I'll elaborate if someone wants me too but my elaboration could end up really long and I don't feel like it atm. but suffice it to say that wolves want villagers to be going after each other.

I find this wolfy. There are allegedly other reasons for dustin being wolfy, yet the one given here is beyond flimsy. First of all, off the top of my head I think dustin is probably correct about his lack of random votes at the start of games. But even if he's not, in the context of this game, it's just not something that makes any sense for a wolf to be lying about.

dustin votes vaya. vaya refers to it as a placeholder vote. dustin says no, it was a real vote, he doesn't make a placeholder vote. Now you see, the thing here is that if dustin is a wolf, and if dustin normally does make placeholder votes........ then he can still say "no that wasn't a placeholder vote." The comment about previous games was entirely irrelevant to what he said.

ackbleh using this as a justification to go after dustin strikes me as what a wolf does -- he's looking to build cases, not looking to find the truth. It sounds good at first glance: find someone who is inconsistent/lying/etc and call them out on it. But in this case it holds no water, and I think that should be pretty apparent to anyone who spends a couple seconds thinking about it.

Sorry for not being around yesterday. Somehow I missed that this has started.

I don't know if I can really explain it but ackbleh's reaction to dustin claiming seer just doesn't seem right. He's been trying to rally up everyone to vote dustin without ever actually making a case against him and then he doesn't really even seem bothered when dustin claims seer... just votes for hitch and then comes back with this post.

I would expect that a villager who feels as strongly about dustin as ackbleh appeared to would first try to figure out a reason for dustin to still be a wolf when he claims. Not necessarily complete blinders or anything, but at least along the lines of "hmmmmm I don't really buy this" and at least wouldn't be the first guy to vote hitch. The standard play if you're unsure of dustin's role in this spot would be to lynch a third party... but ackbleh doesn't mention that at all.

So maybe he's convinced dustin is seer now... but then why does he include the last line of this post? Something doesn't add up.
